This is our first knife holder and it does the job very well (as do all the others). We like it apart from the installation. We used double-sided tape (3M) to install the magnetic knife holder on the kitchen wall (with tiles). However, the back of the holder has four edges that are slightly higher than the surface - this creates a cavity between the surface and the wall. At first I thought that the bottom part could be removed and glued to the wall first, and then glued the outer part. But they hit it off and were inseparable. Due to the cavity between the surface and the wall, I cannot attach the bracket directly to the wall. I ended up having to cut a piece of plastic wrap from a thin plastic cutting board (measured to fit the four edges) and fill in the space. Basically we applied two layers of 3M tape plus a thin layer of plastic board. to make the edges disappear. I don't know if other people are reporting a similar problem. I didn't know there would be a place; Otherwise I would buy a double magnetic knife holder for the fridge
