Review on NITOYO Compatible Protector Anti Scratch Anti Slip by Tyler Ramey

Poor glue but great customer service

If you use a Tesla trunk to transport anything, you will easily find that the plastic sill cover is easily scratched during normal loading and unloading. I chose this trunk protector to protect the sill cover. This trunk protector fits like a glove over the Tesla Rocker Cover. However, the supplied tape is terrible and useless. It keeps the protective cover not glued to the rocker cover. The corners of the skid plate rub against the Tesla trunk lid, causing them to lift when the trunk lid is lifted. The leading and trailing edges as well as the top part of the protection do not stay down. This shield has great potential if the manufacturer provides better tape to hold it on the Tesla cover. I contacted the seller and found a sticking problem. They replied very quickly and professionally. Based on my experience with customer service alone I would give the seller 5 stars. Ultimately, the proposed solution was to replace the original tape. I replaced it with 3M (LLPT brand) double sided tape. It took a little patience and perseverance to remove the original tape. But it paid off. The new tape went smoothly and easily. The guard immediately grabbed Tesla's threshold cover. The guard looks great (as an OEM) and will probably do its job as a threshold guard. In fact, Tesla should have provided something like this in the first place. All my other SUVs had some kind of protective grille in front of the door. If it wasn't for the bad tape and the need to replace it with new tape, I would have rated the protection 5 stars.
