Large lens has loose retaining ring, super fine threads, you can hear it off center. I'll say the optics are pretty damn good for $. Great for home/bird watching etc. The focus knob etc is impressive, I like big binoculars because they have a better field of view (FOV). Can I secure this front lens before moisture gets in? Not sure if this is a shipping issue as they were delivered quickly and well packaged. I'll try to put the front lens ring back on when I can sit down and fix it inside. All in all I found them much better than the short guys from Wally World at a better price. I don't mind a little weight if my hike is reasonable, these binoculars are worth it. I will update when I have a successful repair. Overall I would recommend for $100 from what I've seen so far. UPDATE November 21, 2018. The seller contacted me, asked me to take a quick photo and immediately offered to send a new pair! I told them the binoculars worked fine but I was concerned about dust and moisture getting in and they offered to send a new pair anyway. Great service and quick response! Excellent seller!
