We installed this backup camera on a 2006 Toyota Highlander. We had to mount the camera on the underside of the license plate, which required a bit of fiddling with the camera to get the angle right. However, it was pretty easy to do. Our biggest concern when buying it was that the camera might fall off while driving on dirt roads. We no longer have this concern. We spent the summer driving the Highlander on unpaved, unpaved rock and gravel roads. The camera never failed. You can see the backup clearly with your Garmin navigation device, and the device's voice commands make it easy to toggle the rear camera view on or off. Our only disappointment with the purchase is that the Garmin navigator sometimes fails to find very small towns in the countryside, and getting the device to show and follow an alternate route can be a daunting task, especially compared to the one Using a TomTom.
