Won't connect, was good when connected

I disagree with everyone who is crazy about how easy it would be to steal a camera - it really isn't any easier than any other external rear view camera...Godmen find a new city. In any case it paired well and the picture was fine and then paired about 1/4 of the time making it unusable. There was a delay when connecting...Voice commands turned the camera on but didn't turn it off. returned

Very poor system, suitable for sports and portable GPS

The camera does not connect to the device immediately. The device will not detect the WiFi signal until the software is updated via the USB connection. Once the WiFi is up and running, the camera software can be updated. None of this is documented. Customer service sucks. The delay time is at least 5 seconds once you earn and when you look behind you. Be patient when backing up. Garmin's first bad product. Drive 55 is good, but camera 40 is bad

Buyers beware of handheld GPS

Don't waste your money I bought this product and the camera has now fallen to solve the problem where I'm not driving from new mexico to arizona to catch a crappy Finding camera that should never have fallen in the first place, your destiny is to hold onto the license plate holder, but obviously it's rubbish, a big waste of money and amazon zero help Question thanks for nothing amazon.

Incredible GPS and backup camera for my Silverado.

The reversing camera was installed very quickly and easily. It's also easy to set up lines so I can see where my tires are being tracked when backing up. I've only had it for a few weeks, but the GPS is also very impressive and easy to use. This pack was a great upgrade for my Chevy Silverado which is a very basic work truck version. I was in the process of adding these options via the updated radio in the dashboard. It must have cost me over $1200. Boy am I glad I looked for a cheaper way toโ€ฆ

The navigation works well, but be careful, this is a rear camera.

Navigation works well, voice recognition works I usually have to say a command about 3 times with the AC on and no music. The main reason I bought this particular model was that it came with a wireless rear view camera. Well, nothing is allowed to block your license plate in Illinois, and my rear Mercedes license plate doesn't have room to move the camera up or down, so I can't use a backup camera that came with it, if I do I risk one Traffic ticket for a clogged license plate.

The 2nd worked perfectly

The first navigation system sent was defective. The system did not connect to my phone. It just kept reloading. I sent it back and got a new one that worked great. It's easy to read and I love that it tells you what the next turn is even if it's over 100 miles away. One feature I would like to have is a total mileage countdown. The system tells you how many miles you have at the start of your trip, but not how many miles you have to cover during the trip. I like that you can access theโ€ฆ

I like the GPS but needs improvement

The GPS works well as expected. I particularly like the driving assistance function, which shows lanes when needed. The reversing camera works properly when installed according to the instructions. Keep in mind that this has nothing to do with driving a car and you have to switch to it manually from GPS. There are a few things that could be improved. Voice recognition is very poor, don't even try to use it. Secondly, the search function is not as good as when using a smartphone. For example, if

Works great for sports and portable GPS

We installed this backup camera on a 2006 Toyota Highlander. We had to mount the camera on the underside of the license plate, which required a bit of fiddling with the camera to get the angle right. However, it was pretty easy to do. Our biggest concern when buying it was that the camera might fall off while driving on dirt roads. We no longer have this concern. We spent the summer driving the Highlander on unpaved, unpaved rock and gravel roads. The camera never failed. You can see the backup

Waste of money - sports and portable GPS

I'm an electrician in a residential area so I do a lot of house calls and don't want to rely on my phone all day for directions. However, I was very disappointed with this device and expected more from Garmin. I didn't buy this for voice recognition, but damn it's bad. I literally have to yell for him to listen and he randomly pops up a menu and thinks I'm talking to him, even when there's no music/radio/talk, only street noise triggers it. At least give me a chance to turn off the voiceโ€ฆ
