This is my first gaming monitor. For the last 3 years I have used a 15 year old Dell 60Hz 1440p monitor with only DVI and VGA connectors. With this monitor, I can average between 115 and 150 fps (1080p) in most games. The included video was around 145 fps at Rogue Company. So the monitor is perfect for what I do. Keep in mind that this monitor will only go up to 165Hz if you use a display cable, which I found out isn't included. The included HDMI cable supports up to 144Hz, which is perfect for my type of gaming. My PC's current specs are below: GPU: RX 580 8GB CPU: i5 4460 RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Storage: 120GB SSD 2TB HDD Image quality is pretty decent. not the best but it's good for what i do. The brightness is spot on and you can actually see the difference when you switch from 60Hz to 144Hz. Would definitely recommend for this great price. The only drawback is the stand. As already mentioned, the monitor tends to shake a lot when typing. Especially when using a mechanical keyboard that requires more effort on the desk. The monitor shakes a lot. Although it's not very noticeable in games.
