Review on Adults πŸ”« Wood Trick Assault Model by Harald Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Intricate and beautiful

Toothpicks (included) are used to hold everything together. The first wooden model I built with this system and I was very happy with it. After a while I'll admit that my fingers hurt a little, I think this is a multi-day puzzle for most people. Took a good chunk out of the two for me just doing it while watching movies. You end up with toothpick pieces all over the place, but all wooden models have a lot of spurs anyway and so on. You'll need a sharp hobby knife for about 4-5 steps where you'll need to leave the extra toothpick sticking out rather than just snapping off the toothpick and grinding. The instructions are very detailed and clear, excellent. WORDS is a mediocre machine translation from Ukrainian, but 99% of the directions are just pictures, and even the shaky translation gets close enough to the parts you need. I need to let everyone know that I'm not a "shooter" guy. But I was in the military and was surprised that this is a pretty crazy, complicated reproduction, right down to the dust cap on the ejection port etc. It doesn't "shoot" very far, but I would guess it's a few extra turns a rubber band or the use of an additional band or two (already included) can increase your "muzzle velocity" if you so desire.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
