An interesting project, but not easy to implement.

It was fun to assemble, but the toothpicks to assemble are all too heavy to hold. I highly recommend using pliers and a drill the same size as the toothpick for assembly. It's also good to have a pair of wire cutters to trim the toothpicks flush. Finally. additional sandpaper to smooth the toothpicks flush. It's nice to play with, but not too far. Which I think is good. Range maybe 12 feet?

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

  • There are downsides

Cool building toy!

Wow! My son had so much fun building it! Be sure to follow the grinding instructions. He figured he didn't need to grind because the part moved fine, but now that it's fully assembled it doesn't fire. And you can't end up taking it apart because you're using toothpick dowels to hold it together. But I won't spoil my review because of his mistake! He's 16 and needs to learn to follow directions - ha! Excellent purchase! And Revain, you should only allow verified buyers to leave reviews. I'm just

I really wanted it to be fun.

This AR-15 is the third shotgun I have built and am still building. While I really enjoyed building the first two, the Vector Pistol and the USG 2, I'm really struggling to enjoy any part of this build. The holes for inserting the toothpicks are quite large, so it's very difficult to push the toothpicks through, and you can use pliers to do it! Because of this, I stabbed myself with a toothpick in my hand. Unfortunately, all of these reasons must be why I have to give this one star.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Buy it if you have money to spend and want to hurt yourself

If you enjoy ruining your fingers sticking toothpicks in tiny holes that don't fit, then this project is for you She. This Ukrainian wood project has pieces that don't fit together and I couldn't build past the second side. I tried posting the project on YouTube and the video suspiciously skips the part where you connect the four pieces together with some small square holes. The video shows finding the four pieces and then quickly rewinding to the pieces attached together. My hands and fingers…

Intricate and beautiful

Toothpicks (included) are used to hold everything together. The first wooden model I built with this system and I was very happy with it. After a while I'll admit that my fingers hurt a little, I think this is a multi-day puzzle for most people. Took a good chunk out of the two for me just doing it while watching movies. You end up with toothpick pieces all over the place, but all wooden models have a lot of spurs anyway and so on. You'll need a sharp hobby knife for about 4-5 steps where…

Pros

Impressive! Best at Puzzles

My ninth wooden puzzle, second wooden puzzle, first toothpick puzzle! I was a bit unsure when I started using toothpicks, but eventually I developed a procedure to deal with their use, accidental sticks, and bleeding. Yes my fingers hurt but the finished model is amazing. Eventually I had to use a band-aid to stop the bleeding all over the tree and quickly found that it also offered protection from further stings so I put it on my other fingers as well. The fabric ones work great. As for the…

Challenging but lessons learned for character development

My 13 year old son bought his pocket money to buy this set to assemble during the pandemic. He vacillated between excitement and extreme disappointment. I joined him after he worked a few hours and gave up. I am so impressed with the design and construction of this kit. All pieces are cut to the perfect size, all holes match. Toothpicks were tricky at times, but once we started waxing them before inserting them, the task became more manageable. My son had no model building experience and I can…
