Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Geekworm Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Case - Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Metal Case with Heatsink for Raspberry Pi 3B+/3B Model B - Black (P252) by David Mills

Keeps my Pi reasonably cool, quiet, fairly attractive and allows most features to be used

I have not measured my Pi without the case but with the case at 70F (21C) ambient it keeps the Pi at 100F (38C) idle and 140F (60C) with maximum CPU load ("load -c 12") for a good hour. It also dissipates heat quite well, so the CPU temperature quickly dropped by around 50ยฐC after the CPU stress test finished, and then dropped to 38ยฐC in the next few minutes, where it stayed indefinitely. Mixed, intermittent stress on the CPU and other components will likely keep it cool enough, although the case definitely felt uncomfortable during the stress test and can easily burn your skin if you hold it for very long. Assembly was pretty easy, except for those thermal pads. I hope these are the right thermal pads as they seem to work pretty well. However, it is almost impossible to separate the pickguard from the plastic tab that holds it in place without damaging the pickguard. It doesn't matter if you mess them up, but they kind of fall apart. The case makes a very heavy and robust impression. It has slots that technically allow you to use a variety of expansion ports and connectors, except you need dedicated ribbon cables to do so. In general I like it very much. There isn't enough visor for one of the board's microcircuits (I don't remember which one). He closes tight. It's pretty attractive. This is also a very reasonable price for a heavy, passively cooled case. If I decide to replace my cheap ugly plastic cases with other Pi3s I will seriously consider buying this case again.
