Solid case! best single board computer

The perfect case for my Raspberry Pi 3 B+. I use it to run Volumio with a built in USB Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). You cannot use a HAT, fan or other heatsink with this case as two solid aluminum pillars come out of the lid to make contact with the CPU and Ethernet chip to dissipate heat. The case itself is a heatsink and feels warm to the touch during operation. All ports and GPIO pins are accessible and I can even remove the micro SD card with tweezers. The two holes match the built-in

Great fanless case. Very Efficient

Great little fanless case, very efficient. My Pi3 B+ was running Home Assistant and oscillating in the mid to high 50's. After replacing the case, the temperature dropped to 43°C. It doesn't help that the Pi is in one of the closets, but now I feel a lot better working with it 24/7. There were no instructions, so you had to go back to the product page to figure out which thermal pad to use. Otherwise it was a good fit. There were minor blemishes and factory dents. (would have known when the…

Rugged Case Literally

I use my rPi 24/7 with high cpu usage. I've used an actively cooled plastic case with a Pi 3 B+ board in the past, but wanted to do without the fan. The plastic case with active cooling reached an average of 47.8 °C / 118.04 °F. Now on this case: I average 51.5°C/124.7°F - still within the normal range. The outside of the case is warm to the touch but very tolerable at an average of 37.8F/100.2F. Solid construction - this will be my standard case in the future. As mentioned in other reviews, no

Cons
  • High Price

I have not measured my Pi without the case but with the case at 70F (21C) ambient it keeps the Pi at 100F (38C) idle and 140F (60C) with maximum CPU load ("load -c 12") for a good hour. It also dissipates heat quite well, so the CPU temperature quickly dropped by around 50°C after the CPU stress test finished, and then dropped to 38°C in the next few minutes, where it stayed indefinitely. Mixed, intermittent stress on the CPU and other components will likely keep it cool enough, although the…
