Not the best

I paid a fair price for what I got and it worked. Everything (except the instructions) was as declared. Although this was my first glass replacement, I'm not exactly a beginner. If you are a beginner, read my review and then find the best option. If you have experience, you may find this is for you. Everything in the kit was great and exceeded my expectations with two very notable exceptions and one small exception. On the secondary side, it was nice to have all the cables, buttons, and camera mount on the glass. However, they were not secured, were not fully folded as required, and there were no devices to secure them in place. The glass removal instructions were complete, if not easy to understand. Details could be clarified. The bigger issue is that the instructions were for disassembly only, and the only part of assembly mentioned was the need to swap the buttons to keep the existing Touch ID button. An assembly order is required for reassembly, and there are a few areas that can easily be messed up where instructions would be helpful. The supplied glue is a very poor choice. It was very difficult to get full coverage and avoid making a big mess. A moment of inattention and I have adhesive residue on the LCD. It cleaned up easily with the alcohol wipes I had on hand. Other kits have double sided tape and I think that will work best for most users. The toolbox was complete and could theoretically cope with the task. I could not remove the glass with the tools provided. If untouched glass was removed the tool kit would be fine. For broken glass I needed a metal spatula. Some of this work could be done with the included knife, but it's not guaranteed. Whatever you choose, spend $15 and get a screen protector and a cheap plastic case. I've never broken a screen and if my father-in-law had followed my advice, he wouldn't have broken a screen either. And I would not write this review. Decent kit, could be better, did the job. Not a bad buy.
