After installing the aftermarket radio system in my 2009 Silverado 1500, the OBD port stopped communicating with my regular OBD2 scanner, which works fine on my 1998 F150 and other newer vehicles. After spending nearly two weeks researching and testing fuses and power, I finally came up with one of the first suggestions I read and that was: use a better scanner. I bought this gadget on Tuesday, got it delivered on Wednesday and on Thursday I get the replacement sensors I need to fix the code before checking. 100% GOLD!
