Review on Nexus Escape 150 Watt Inverter PAD1500 by Mike Fedd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

great gadget - tools & equipment

I live in the Bay Area and power outages are becoming more frequent. So I bought this and it has been incredibly helpful during this recent and ongoing outage. It's a pure sine wave, so it powers my 50" Sony TV and everything else 150w and under. I don't know why someone called it the famous laptop charger. I recommend it to anyone who has ego batteries. unreasonable, especially since Ryobi's lower 40-volt system inverter is the same price. With a little longer use of the device I should find that I could not turn on my 50 inch Sony TV with a 2.5 amp battery. works well. I think you can find all these specs in the product description. A smaller TV might be fine at 2.5 amps. The fast charger requires 550 watts of power, which would require a generator or a powerful car inverter. The slow charger is 155 amps. Watt that worked with my Bestek 500 watt inverter running a bunch of stuff. A minor downside is that it doesn't seem to turn off completely when not in use. There's a simple on/off switch, but if you just unplug something and leave it there, I think the battery drains a bit. There is only one AC plug. Two USB sockets, which could be dispensed with with all existing options for charging a phone or iPad. I just bought another one. You can't beat it for portability, and it's fine for most internal stuff you need to keep working during a power outage of less than 24 hours. Also, it won't work with major appliances like a microwave, etc. However, you can connect your modem/router, cable box and TV as it outputs a pure (as opposed to a modified) sine wave. And a table lamp on top. You just need to split an AC plug on it.
