Review on Chef'n Easy Stripper for Kale, Chard, Collard Greens, and Herbs by Rachel Johnson

Vary your technique for better results

However, this stripper works great on kale, collards and most chard leaves (as long as the stem isn't too wide ). There is a way to use it that makes it work much better. After inserting the shaft into the smallest hole it will fit, pull the shaft through a series of short pulls rather than one long pull. If you pull it all at once, the leaves seem to get stuck and the stem breaks off too quickly. I like it when the stem gets a really deep clean, and it does when you pull-stop, pull-stop, pull-stop. This allows the leaves to detach from the hole and allow more stems to pass through the hole before it breaks off. If your leaves are the same size and flat, stacking them on top of each other and snipping off the stems with a knife will make it even quicker. But for different sizes or curly greens, this little tool works well. Hope this review helps!
