Purchased this what we thought was a 9' foot, only to discover that our 9' rug is actually 8.5' feet! We had hoped this would give the low pile rug a more plush feel. While it no longer feels like you're walking on hard wood (like before), it is not a plush or squishy experience. I'm guessing we'd need to go with some kind of memory foam for that. If you do not have this secured under heavy furniture, you will need a nonstick pad to prevent it from slipping. If you plan to cut it to size, you will need a pair of heavy duty fabric scissors -- regular scissors, garden clippers, or an exacto knife will not cut it (and I really tried, too!).
