When this arrived I was ready to send it back because it was packaged in a short box, but upon opening & unrolling I was very happy with the quality and the thickness of the pad.

Highly recommend.just wish they had directions stating which side the textured surface went on.against the floor or the carpet.

We had vinyl plank flooring installed in our living room and i wanted to put my former oriental rug down but it had been on old carpet.I needed padding w new floor and the Rugpadusa mat worked out very well.It's soft and comfortable. We're satisfied w the 1/4 ". I also didn't notice any odor which is important to me. We like that it's made in USA and quality.

It fit my 8x10 carpet perfectly, no cutting necessary. Bought the 3/8” to get more thickness than the 1/4”. Big difference having the pad especially in the winter with cold hardwood floors. No slipping because it’s tucked under the couch. Happy with the purchase.

Product was good but it slips n slides on my hardwood floor. I needed something that would stick to either carpet or floor but it slides too much. Otherwise the measurements were exact. I have the 8x10

I have hardwood floors. The area rug feels much softer with the mat under it. Vacuuming cleaning works better. I can now do some Yoga on my rug with better padding. Glad I did this!

When one is trying to protect real hardwood floors, soft padding is essential. I was very pleased with the product and it is hold up well under rug and heavy coffee table so far. I did not use adhesion for the pad.

This thing slid around like a slip and slide! Luckily, I was able to find some carpet grippers to hold it firmly in place (after much trial and error in finding the right type. Thankfully I could cut it. I actually used this with another rug top that has super expensive rug pad systems. This works 100% as a replacement at a fraction of the cost. Will definitely be buying these from now on.

This does not have any grip on it so it slips really bad. This could be easily fixed with some rug corner adhesive things but I just haven’t gotten around to doing that yet. Very cushioned and overall like it (we got it to pad our rug better for our 5 month old) but the slippery corners could be an issue for someone with mobility issues

Adds just enough softness and cushiness and holds the rug in place well. I love it. The 8x10 is just slightly larger than our 8x10 rug but I was able to trim the edges no problem.

I’m happy that this does add lots of "Cush” under my 8x10 rug. This is the second one I’ve ordered. Thick matted material- not that plastic beaded stuff. Not sure though, if 1/2 in might not be too thick, we’ll see. Only because it does lift the edge of the rug ever so slightly. Trip hazard? No problems so far. Wanted something a little thicker for under an 8' x 10' rug. The rug was inexpensive and on the thin side so wanted the pad to add cushion. This 1/2" pad is perfect. Lay with the soft side up. The rug is not moving, but I have a furniture anchoring 2 sides and a heavy ottoman on it. Not sure it is the best option for lighter, small rugs, should be good under heavier large rugs.

We have wood floors and this is FABULOUS! It is honestly like walking onto an extra padded carpeted area. Great cushion under rug for kids - and adults - that like to play/lay on the ground. I recommend this 1/2" thick rug pad.

Using this product, our team found that it offers little to no protection for our hardwood floors. The pad shifted constantly, causing our rugs to slip and slide, which posed a safety hazard. The felt cushioning was thin and provided no extra comfort. In terms of durability, we noticed signs of wear and tear after just a few uses. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with this purchase and do not recommend it for Home and Kitchen use.

Purchased this what we thought was a 9' foot, only to discover that our 9' rug is actually 8.5' feet! We had hoped this would give the low pile rug a more plush feel. While it no longer feels like you're walking on hard wood (like before), it is not a plush or squishy experience. I'm guessing we'd need to go with some kind of memory foam for that. We bought this to go underneath our 8x10 area rug we have in our living room where our 1 year old son plays to make it softer for him and for us adults to sit on when we play together and it definitely is a nice padding. Arrived very quickly and was boxed well. The 3/8" was just the right softness for our vinyl plank floors. The small dots on pad make it stick to the underside of the rug. Our rug has furniture legs on it to help hold in place. The only things that could be improved is: there is a slight odor from pad, and it was not cut as a true rectangle-so we cut it.
