I'm behind in technology which I'm very thankful for. I tried the latest Netgear WiFi-6 Nighthawk platform and it kept crashing, so I decided to try their "tested and trusted" technology and bought it. This means that the signal is just as strong and fast. Outside the main block, I'm within 5 Mbps of my 400 Mbps service. From satellite it drops well over 5ft to around 250Mbps (unlike the Nighthawk which maintained speeds closer to 400 when it did its job). I also have a computer that is connected to satellite and supports just under 400Mbps. Performance is solid and I haven't had any dropped connections. Our iPhone can't use WiFi-6, but I can live with that because I'm more worried about my PC's performance when I'm at home anyway. I had to turn off the Alexa box (which by the way is a satellite, not the main box). ) because the volume gets stuck at a high level. It works fine since I did this. I didn't buy this for Alexa, it was sold for less than a regular device. I have it in my office so it's nice to listen to music now. No, it is not high quality. But that's not it. The only downside is that it's HUGE in my opinion (even compared to the Netgear Nighthawk).
