Total pain during installation. You need to attach all the cables to a remote box (about 3 inches long and 1.5 inches wide) which then has to somehow fit into the space where all the cables need to be plugged into the ceiling - a space the size of an average one thumbs . Once you manage to get your fingers out (hopefully without falling down the stairs) it's fine, but my goodness what an absolute pain. Some reviewers complained about the noise. Maybe I'm getting deaf at my age but I haven't heard anything too loud or disturbing other than my electrician's numerous comments as she tried to fit this huge box into this tiny tiny spot and pull her fingers out. intact.
