Review on Black Trudeau One-Hand Battery-Operated Pepper Mill by Noe Miceli

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Do not buy - disappointing compared to previous model

I bought this grinder to replace an older Trudeau Conical Pepper Mill. The old model was a bit awkward to use. It used six AAA batteries which lasted a long time and gave it considerable power. The downsides were the unsightly sticky surface (some weird "tactile" plastic that broke) and the refilling process, as well as the tiny pepper reservoir (which could damage the grinder if overfilled). So I was hoping that this new model would be an improvement, but in reality it's just an inferior product in almost every way. The first one I got was dead. The second works but is cheap to make - the button to turn on the motor looks like something on a free toy designed for a week. Only four AAA batteries, so a weaker motor that struggles to grind the pepper. On the plus side, it's easy to fill and the tank is a decent size. Don't buy this grinder - get a conical Trudeau instead (and don't overfill it).
