Locks Not Working - External Accessory

I installed them and thought they were great at first. However, the floodgates will not remain open. Like the other reviews, I have to take them up. They take a long time to disengage when sliding into the roof rack for installation, but it's just a little inconvenient that they don't actually snap into place.
