Review on Summer Infant Multi Use Walk Thru Bronze by Jose Muenzen

DO NOT BUY THIS GATE. We did everything right to install this gate at the top of the stairs but the lock on the gate failed causing my 16 month old son to fall down four steps onto the landing. Thank God he was able to fall on the landing and not all the way up the stairs. I was downstairs and my husband was upstairs with him. It happened so quickly and not because we left him alone! He's quite an inquisitive and strong kid and although we opened the door inwards rather than outwards as an extra precaution, he still managed to open the gate and slide down the stairs. Blocking works sometimes but not other times. I have no idea why the lock is failing, but it's extremely dangerous. Our little one could have died now because of those poorly functioning gates. Obviously not all grids are faulty as there are so many positive reviews but honestly do you want to expose your child to serious injury or death? DO NOT DO THAT! I am thankful that my son just got a scratched and blue eyelid. It could have been a lot worse.
