Loads fairly quickly, but three main problems. 1) I've tried two and both have a fatal design flaw: instead of clicking into the 12v cigarette lighter socket and staying there, they pop back out, enough to break the connection. and stop loading. I've planned so many times to charge my phone while driving, only to find that this thing turns off en route when I get to where I'm going. (This isn't because of rough roads, it's because of the spring-loaded parts on the sides that push it out.) 2) The blue light, which is broadcast in the charger to let you know it's plugged into a power source, insanely bright - so bright it gives me a headache at night. If you have any visual/neurological issues I would stay away, the light is not only inside the USB port but outside as well. 3) It can charge faster than cheaper models IF you can manage to keep it plugged in, but it seems to use a lot of power while doing so (enough to drain my car battery when I'm not driving). Several times I've had a dead car battery while camping and it's a new battery and the charger in my car works fine and I start the car daily. And this only charges one phone without using the USB port at the same time. All of this may be worthwhile
