I have a very old Astro-Power 110 Powermig made in Italy. It can only be used as a gas welder and not as a flux wire because it uses a single wire torch. The torch got pretty ragged so I decided to try a mod. This two wire torch has added versatility and durability to my 30 year old machine. In the first photo you can see that the torch wires are set up for cored wire welding. The positive wire was slightly shorter than the + (in the photo it is connected to -) so I had to solder it. The wire feed cable was long enough, I cut it to length with a Dremel cutting wheel. While not designed for my particular welder, I am VERY happy with this flashlight. It's two feet longer than my old torch and I can convert flux wire to gas wire by reversing the polarity. The gas and wire feed switch are working properly. (I'm not a professional welder) The torch was delivered within a week. Yes I would recommend it to a friend.
