I bought the Canon EOS M3 because of its size, sensor size and the fact that lenses can be changed - I wanted to be able to use Canon EOS accessories and even lenses. It's true that using relatively large DSLR lenses with this camera isn't ideal; The point is, you *can* use them if you can put up with slow focus and the balance situation of "tail wagging the dog". I wasn't planning on using full-size DSLR lenses with this little camera, so I'm not disappointed. The 18-55mm lens in this kit is a great fit for the M3 and produces very good to excellent images. This makes it very compact and easy to take with you on trips when you *might* need a better camera than your phone. I bought a 22mm Canon M Prime lens to make the system even more compact, but this glass isn't as good as the 18-55 zoom. All in all a good little camera but it won't replace my DSLR.
