Good ramp but needs some work

This ramp is very good apart from one annoying design flaw. I'll get to this after listing the positives: 1) light weight, 2) folds easily and has an easy-to-use buckle, 3) the tread is soft but provides good grip, 4) has a comfortable carrying handle, 5) good length in unfolded form. Here are the cons: 1) The carry handle is in the wrong place (explain this in detail later), 2) Small pieces of the plastic grass tread are peeling off and sticking to the carpet in my car's cargo area. More on the design flaw: If you look at the picture of the ramp, you'll see that the carrying handle is attached to one of the ramp's folding legs. As it turned out, the handle is attached to the bottom leg of the ramp. In other words, when you extend the ramp, the handle is on the lower leg that is touching the ground. This makes unfolding the ramp awkward because you have to crouch while holding the grip on your shin and then open your top leg up. This is an unstable way to open the ramp and it would be much better to just move the carry handle up the top of the leg. So when you unlock the ramp, you keep your top leg (which you put on the car) and your shin just goes down and touches the ground. Let gravity work for you, not against it!

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Easily repairable
