Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Sunlite Quick Release QR Bike Block Fork Mount by Chris Shepherd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

2x4 mount = Inexpensive/effective mount

I installed 2 of these on a 2x4 in the back of my truck. The 2x4 is held on with a ratchet strap that runs through 2 eyebolts on the underside of the board. 5 stars because it has served me well. It's hard work and it seems like it's going to take quite a long time. Keep in mind that on an old racing bike, the fork isn't wide enough to fit in the rack without a little "help". It's not that important. I install one side of the fork in the bracket and carefully widen the other side to allow it to slide in. Tighten the bracket and you're good to go (it takes about 1-2 minutes to install and secure the bike). The forks on my wife's Schwinn Discover Hybrid fit perfectly. I thought I might have to buckle my rear wheel, but there's not much traffic when I'm driving on bumpy/curving roads. The only downside I can think of is that the black finish on the mount is easy to scratch if you're not careful, but for the price you can't beat it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
