Review on MKC Professional Chrome Vanadium Hornbeam Woodworking: Exploring Durability and Precision Craftsmanship by Daniel Espinoza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like these

The 1/4" and 1/2" chisel handles are fine, but the 3/8" chisel handle is rotated at least 20 degrees making it difficult to correctly aligning it with the work piece (see photo) I requested a replacement set and to the seller's credit I suddenly had a new set by the end of the same day (they must be near me). Unfortunately the handle was on the 3/8" spare bit actually warped more than the original. I have returned the replacement set and informed the seller that if it is not possible to provide a 3/8" bit with the correct handle orientation, I would also like to return the original set for a full refund. These bits are made in China Manufactured and although the price of mortise holes is very good, I know the quality control of Chinese tools can be random. At the moment I have not received any message from the supplier about the resolution.Rating from two stars to five based on like the seller alone decided to deal with this situation. To their credit, they refunded the full purchase price of the bit set, showing that they are doing business ethically. I understand that they are at the mercy of the Chinese concept of 'quality control', but they were ready to do the right thing. Respect!
