The base of the cup holder only expands in one direction (see photo) and therefore does not hold the inside of the cup holder well. If you hit your phone, the cup holder may move. The long flexible arm is strong, but there's some play where it attaches to the cup holder, causing the phone to vibrate as you drive. To make matters worse, the grips that hold the phone are flat. If you have accessories (e.g. a wallet), your phone may not fit in it. Overall not a very good product.
