These are the only anchors I have used for many years. They carry most of the weight when properly installed. Before inserting anything into the wall, be sure to insert and tighten the screw. After a smooth entry and exit, twist the bar straight and put it back in place. When screwing the base to the drywall, make sure not to over-tighten flush with the wall surface for maximum support. Before mounting anything, insert the screw and tighten until you feel the pivot rod is snug against the inside of the wall. The screw doesn't slip out at all when you pull on it. Then remove the screw and install what you want. I had no problems following these steps. Also, another pro tip: when you no longer need the anchor, simply push it a few millimeters into the wall (insert a screwdriver and tap the handle lightly with the palm of your hand a few times). If you do this, all you need is a little putty to patch it up without affecting the through hole.
