Review on Architec Gripperwood Cutting Non Slip Gripper by Kurt Ferguson

Great cutting boards that last a long time

This is my second purchase of these cutting boards. I bought my first one maybe 5 years ago and have used it extensively during that time. The board is durable and does not slip as the name suggests. I have never soaked the board in water, although I do submerge it in hot water when washing. And I've applied edible mineral oil to it a number of times over the years, on average probably once every 6-12 months. I decided I needed a second board like this a few days ago while trimming a pork shoulder. Since we've been cooking so much lately, I use my wooden cutting board for bread and veggies and plastic cutting boards for raw meat. As I cut the pork, the plastic board turned and turned on the slightly damp countertop; definitely not a problem with Gripperwood. I've posted pictures of my old (darker) and new (lighter) boards. Not sure if the color has changed over time or what. Obviously not as dark as in the picture, but very nice.
