Review on Premium Performance: Power Stop K1299 Front Z23 Carbon Fiber Brake Pads with Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors Kit by Adam Martinez

I ordered this kit for my wife's 1998 Mustang GT and it arrived within 3 days. I think I live near a warehouse! I forgot I upgraded the calipers on 2000 models and although the rotors were the same the pads didn't match. It would have cost me $35 to return the kit so I just swallowed the bullet and bought the correct pads for about the same $35 price. The rims look great but the silver paint on the rotor hubs will come off with brake cleaner so be careful. Also, the rotors are side dependent, in other words there's one for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side, so be careful. I did the install and the brakes work great! Good product at a more than fair price. UPDATE: I've had the brakes installed for about 8 months now and these are the dirtiest and dustiest pads I've ever used! They stop well enough after they've warmed up a bit, but they have an annoying squeak. I've changed my rating from 5 to 3 stars, subtracting one star for excessive brake dust and one for squeaks. The rotors seem to be holding up well, but knowing what I'm doing now I probably would have chosen a different pad.
