I particularly like these Thornton grips. I had another set of large nibs and they have really vibrant colors and good durability. I paint on rocks with a good acrylic base or Modge Podge and these pens work well with either. The fine tip is handy for cursive writing with tiny lines, while the wider brush tip helps fill in big blemishes. Some of the colors in this set, like light blue and light pink, appear grayer and more colorless on a brown background. In this set I mainly use more saturated colors. I like that I don't have to shake out the pens like some other brands do. They were great value for so many pens and I also like the small holder for them. It folds up to show all the handles.
