Purchased this product with a large dog attachment on 4th April 2016. Prior to purchasing these collars we had Petsafe Venture Series collars which have served us well for 3 years. The main problem with the Venture series is that the collar was plastic/rubber and separated over time. Then the buttons on the receiver got stuck and the collars could no longer be switched on properly. But I still use it for 3 years. The Venture was discontinued and replaced by the Elite. My large breed dogs had Elite collars that I used daily such as the Venture collars and after less than 2 months of use the receiver fell right off one of the collars. We didn't realize it until we got home but luckily we found him on a country lane where they were walking dogs. Petsafe was contacted and they told me the attachment issue was out of warranty but they would send me new attachments. What they did for free. BUT - what if it falls down and we can't find it? We were told that we had to "regularly" tighten the fasteners, but within 2 months of purchase we didn't expect them to fall apart! Now I firmly taped the receivers to the collars, leaving the charging ports and buttons exposed. The stems are taped down but my dogs are so well trained now that I really need them just to hear the sounds. If these collars need to be replaced we will look for another brand. This is not the quality I expected from our first experience and we are very disappointed.
