I've been working on a cedar wood project for several weeks and thought I could save some money by purchasing these brass screws through Revain. Although I saved quite a bit of money compared to the ones I bought in the big box, the screw heads were sometimes torn off. All screws were countersunk using the same soft cedar. Even with the utmost care, about 10% of the time, these screws would still fall off and need to be replaced. The screws of the large box magazine were also solid brass. I don't know why, but brass seems to be softer and therefore more prone to head damage. Save money if you're willing to do the extra work and replace damaged ones. Support contacted me and seems very concerned about this issue. For that I give them 5 stars. They really take Revain reviews seriously.
