I don't know why there are so many good reviews. It doesn't work as promised. The bacon will burn in the middle and stay raw on both ends so you can't eat it. And I'm not just saying it's not to my liking, I mean actually 1/3 is burned black and the other 2/3 is completely raw. I tried it at different times to try and get something I could actually eat. Unfortunately, since I wanted this to work and kept trying, I missed the return window. Unfortunately, I also bought a Bacon Keeper. Another product that doesn't deliver what it promises. Now I don't have 20€ anymore and have to keep looking. Additionally edited: The lid only "sits" in a not too deep depression on the underside. If you try to pick it up, the lid will slide off. I find it dangerous to have hot bacon grease splashing around. And since it's very hot, you'll need to use oven mitts. I used those little thin silicone grips and it was still difficult to grab them without squeezing the lid. And further. The packaging says she cooks 4-5 pieces. 4 slices do not fit without overlapping and twisting the ends. When that didn't work I tried 3 that fit but they also come out as above.
