Review on Off Road Mounting Bracket 360 Degree Aluminium by Chris Norman

Glowstick Versatility

Will buy again soon. But let's start from the back: 1) Mounting posts are only fixed in eight positions (every 45°). If your bars are 22.5 or so they will not mount your lights horizontally (see pics) 2) The set screws are too big for the included hex wrench! The?! However, if you have a set of Allen keys, you don't have to worry. 3) The aluminum clamps are only slightly wider than the flanges on the rubber grommets. Now for the good details: a) There are two mounting posts, one long and one short. Nice gesture! For my application, the short ones were a bit short, but the long ones are PERFECT! b) They assemble well and the rubber grommets provided fit a variety of rod sizes. Butyl rubber is stiff but compresses well for a secure fit. c) The finish, while not pretty, is as good as one would expect for the price. I didn't have to re-cut any holes or deburr the edges. d) These clips are strong enough that my lights won't even bounce on gravel. I'm not sure what they will do in real off-road conditions, but I hope I'm not driving off-road at night!

Pros
  • SECURE FIT – Aggressive, straight knurling on mounting surfaces gives your flashlights the grip they need in the toughest terrain. And with a no-slip locking pin design, these clips won't twist when you twist the throttle.
Cons
  • It was possible to select a newer model
