They fixed an issue with some new hiking shoes where the laces wouldn't stay tied and the shoes didn't fit the (perfectly normal) shape of my feet. They resemble the laces on athletic sandals from Teva, Keens, and a few other brands. I'm happy to report that they fixed the problem with my new walking shoes as well. My only concern is that they are difficult to "install". It took two people because the button with the spring is so strong it required two hands to hold the button open and a hemostat to pull the laces through the last part of the hole. I will buy them again as long as I have someone to help with the installation.
