Bought for 4 year old shoes. The teacher refuses to wear a tie to school so I figured it would help. They are intended for adults, although it is written that they are for children. I would not recommend it for children. You have to shorten them so much and then they become bulky over round and square shoes. The square part where the locks also appear. My daughter never felt like she could tie her shoes tight enough.

I've been wearing elastic shoelaces since I found out about them. Great invention, as well as the Velcro idea. I can put my shoes on quickly and don't have to bend down for a long time. This color matches the color of my shoes. I wear men's size 13 and my wife is 6ft 2in. My belly isn't that big, but it gets in the way. I like it when everything is quick, easy and accessible.
