Great devices, but you need to calibrate

First off, let me say that I really like these devices. They have a pretty good range and I can test my humidors from most places in my house. They also have a built-in app and alarm that adjusts based on relative humidity and temperature ranges. You can add names, locations and photos to multiple devices in the app to track them. The app also offers graphics, and the units are relatively quick to set up. The main disadvantage is that my three units of measurement were not very well calibrated. When I first bought them, I installed them and placed them in different containers managed by Boveda packages. The two containers are air-lined Ziploc Tupperdors, which are generally very stable in relative humidity, and both contained about 8 packs of Boveda 60g 69%. A few days later one was 72 and the other 75. I could see how there might be additional relative humidity as both containers had wooden cigar boxes which could cause fluctuations but not as much. So, I have some Boveda 75% calibration kits and am in the process of calibrating them (you can calibrate in the app). I love them aside from the fact that they weren't accurate when they arrived. Still recommended, but also take a calibration kit with you. A note: it seems like the physically displayed number is always the uncalibrated value, but the app shows the calibrated value. It works for me because I rarely look at her physically.

Cons
  • A little maintainability
