Good paper for practicing ink painting
I'm a sumi or Chinese brush painting teacher, and one day a student asked me if there was any cheap paper at the art store that they could use for their work. Practice of Sumi painting. This article is recent and I tested it with a shared brush landscape and a free flower image. Both come well. The paper is glued (not absorbent) but creases when wet. I tried to smooth it out by washing evenly with water on the wrong side and ironing on the silk. Seems to work. However, the texture is too smooth compared to handmade rice paper or mulberry paper.
