Review on Gates 31842 Fuel Tank Cap by Dave Cavazos

2008 Mercury Mariner - I have a plastic wire cap with a longer plug/screw in the part that tells me if my gas cap is loose or not. I didn't even have to order it. The lock seems to work but I should have cut the cord on the original and the loose lid warning didn't work so I'm very bad for ordering. Check how deep your lid goes into the hole and compare to the photos here as this lid is much shallower. It seemed to fit and work differently.
