The secret of how this thing works

Plug the timer into an outlet. Connect anything you want to time to the timer. If the item you are measuring has an on/off switch, make sure it is on. Let's imagine that the "thing" is light. Locate the small forward and reverse button under the wheel. The icon that looks like a clock turns on the timer feature, the other icon opposite the clock (whatever it is) is an override that disables the timer ( it turns on or off the light you are trying to program manually). ). I find it easier to set the timer to the lock position. There are 48 black protrusions around the perimeter of the wheel. Every second tab is numbered with a whole hour (light background - during the day, black - at night). Press the tabs (away from you) for the hours and half hours that you want the light you're syncing to be on. Released tabs turn off the light. That's called programming. With the light plugged into the timer and the timer plugged into the outlet, spin the wheel to see if it turns on and off where you programmed it. If everything is ok, turn the wheel until it shows the current time (it should be on or off depending on the program). Now toggle the little forward-backward switch on the clock and you're done. You should hear a slight wind up sound when it's set correctly, if it's too loud then something is wrong and the timer wheel won't move. maybe the tabs can be swapped (input off and output on), but I haven't tested that. My timer finally works the way I wrote it and it saved me from having to throw it in the trash. I wasted 30 minutes of my time doing what the people selling this thing had to do because the technology isn't as obvious as it should be.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
