Review on πŸ”¦ WAC Lighting HT2-WT 120V 2 Foot H Track: Efficient White Single Circuit with Mounting Hardware by Mike Fedd

Long review because there is so much to like!

Oops, that's actually a review of their combo LED track heads/LED lights that I really like. WAC Circuit Tracks are a good product and my electrician used them in his setup. But this review love letter is for the WAC lights themselves, which is why I've also placed this review in the right place! Why do I like the WAC lighting? Each little single head comes with an energy-saving LED bulb and a five-year buyer's guarantee. I chose 2700 Kelvin because I wanted to create the soft light of the incandescent bulbs I grew up with; Their 30 Kelvin bulbs are also easy on the eye, but I think they give whiter light ---- both sets are the same brightness, so it's a personal choice. Their high color rendering index (CRI) ensures that the colors of objects and painted walls are not alienated under this type of lighting. The colors look much more natural than with my previous lighting. And since I'm old enough to still think in terms of watts and not lumens, each of these light sources seems to me to be brighter than the corresponding 50-watt incandescent lamp. Not being crafty at all, I hired an electrician to install tracks on the ceilings of my kitchen and dining room. When he did the actual lighting, he remarked that it was so easy to attach each combo head + LED bulb to the rail that I could do it myself if I wanted to climb the stairs. In my small kitchen I have four lamps on a four foot walkway; six lights on an eight foot walkway in my windowless dining area. This system allows me to add or remove lights individually, which is one of the reasons I chose them over a single light fixture. The dimming feature is a big plus and works great, no flickering lights or weird noises. The dimmer in my dining room is an old system and didn't need to be upgraded. The electrician added a kitchen dimmer for me, which only took 10 extra minutes. There are small information inscriptions on the heads, which I did not notice at all after installing them. My electrician has stated that I shouldn't try to take them off and he's right that the labels aren't very visible when the bulbs are in the ceiling. LED lighting is my choice over halogen or CFL lights. I don't have to worry about mercury content or overheating of the LEDs. And as much as I love lightbulbs, these lightbulbs should last for years. And over time I will be able to replace the custom head and light combo. This way I never have to change a lightbulb, which is difficult for me because I have arthritis in my hands. There is no twisting or turning when attached to the rail. In short, I like my new headlights.
