I have this modem in my apartment as well as the Netgear X10 router. I bought both new ones from Revain but my parents had just upgraded their wifi and needed a new modem. So I thought why not buy the same one I have but save some money and get Renewed from Revain. Brought, started to configure everything and everything worked. but then it didn't happen. I wasn't sure what the problem was, but I also didn't care about the router they had, so I bought new cables and a newer router. Well, it didn't work either. So my parents called the cable man to come and set it up. It was $60 and he told us the modem was broken. I was upset that $60 was wasted because something happened that was not our fault or the cable company's fault. It was a defective item that was sent to us. Needless to say I will be buying a new one from now on and the company said they refurbished it. didn't do anything good. Now I have to wait and see if they will approve a return.
