-- UPDATE Turns out the IR sensor in my old TV has failed (so I opened up my TV and replaced it). If you're in doubt, I learned a little trick online to see if the remote works: Point your phone's camera at the spherical IR emitter on top of the remote - if you can see light coming from it when You press button on the remote control. buttons, this is most likely not a remote control. As a nice bonus, it also works with my other Vizio TV (although the good keyboard doesn't seem to work). -- ORIGINAL REVIEW -- New batteries didn't work, I couldn't find instructions online. I have an old Vizio E3D420VX that just needs love, attention and a working remote control. So I really hoped I was one of those reviewers who put in the batteries and everything worked fine. I've never experienced anything like this: 1) put batteries in - nothing 2) swapped out - nothing 3) went online to see if there was a setup guide (because I don't mind doing it myself) - nothing that hopefully will work. Please comment with recommendations if you know any that work well with this model!
