I didn't buy this knife for sushi. Instead, I needed a very sharp knife for slicing "soft" foods like cooked steak, hard salami, etc. Listen: I'm not a cook and I understand that there can be better tools for this type of work. However, this knife worked like a champ for me. Feels great in the hand and masters all the tasks I've tried with it perfectly.
