This cable matters USB C multiport device works reliably with the HP Specter x360. It offers power, HDMI output, Ethernet and 2 USB 3.0 ports. I tried several other USB-C multiport devices, but none of them woke up after the computer went to sleep and woke up again. The Ethernet and USB 3 ports on this Cable Matters device work great. The HDMI connection works better than any other I've tested. However, there were some cases where the external monitor did not receive a signal after the computer resumed from sleep mode. Only twice in a few months of use did I have to restart the computer to wake up the external monitor. I don't know where the fault lies, but this works much better than any other external HDMI I've used. To get power, you must connect the computer's power supply to the multiport device. The HP computer prompts you to use only genuine HP AC adapters, but the computer stays on. It also costs less than other devices I've tested.
