I love the look of this fan. Pretty, not too loud, and lets in enough air for the 10x12 office it's in. Installation. I have installed over 15 fans in my life as a homeowner. I'm not a contractor or electrician, but I can hang a fan pretty easily. But this one was interesting, it's a bit of work. The installation video was helpful, but the paper instructions are next to useless. Hanging balloons is easier with small hands but not too difficult, it just takes patience and some time. .wiring problems. The receiver has black, white, and blue wires on one side that match the same colors coming out of the fan motor. On the other side of the receiver there is a red and a green wire. In fact, they are connected to the black and white wires coming from the ceiling junction box. Red to black and green to white. I had to find this out because the paper and video instructions don't say anything about how to connect the fan to a power source. Light work is terrible. The three colors need to alternate EVERY time you turn on the fan if you want to use the same color every time. Basically, every time you turn on the light, the light changes to the next color. Also, there's an annoying beep when you press each button on the remote. For some the light may be too bright and there is no other way to adjust the brightness than to switch between the three "colors". Sounds like a negative review but my wife loves the look of the fan and said she can handle the light and horn issues. So that's a win.
