Whetstone is incredibly small compared to most major brands. This is a problem because you can't move the blades evenly across the stone unless they are very small (like a paring knife). Then it becomes much harder to sharpen properly/evenly and takes a little longer than a larger stone where you can run the entire blade across the stone. The stone and base smell so bad even after washing and soaking that I had to take them outside for a while.
