Edit: (2 stars) It worked really well on start up (when it was originally plugged in and synced) but when it came back to the car the next morning it stayed it stuck in "initialization" mode and didn't work. Something like this should work just fine - as does the vintage iPod I'm trying to replace (which I might just be growing old with). As mentioned, the connector doesn't pull out easily (I needed pliers to remove it), so disconnecting and reconnecting isn't a viable solution. If I played around with it for 5 minutes every time I got in the car, maybe it could work, but it's not realistic. I'll try the one that plugs into the 30 pin adapter (fingers crossed), otherwise I just use a 3.5mm Lightning to AUX cable. that's for only $8. (4 stars) This worked immediately on my 2010 VW EOS. In fact, I'm not sure I can pull it out effectively without breaking the original attachment point, so I'm hoping, that it continues to work properly.
